#22 - Just because this site is about technology doesn't mean that Anand should start reviewing cars and car parts. All the electrical appliances have chips in them, does that mean that this site should turn into a one stop site for everything related to technology. There is technology involved in almost every piece of equipment you look at.
If you can find hardware sites, you can definitely find car sites. I am not into cars but I am sure if you do a Google search, you will find something of your interest.
Oops, ok, #13, radars aren't necessarily car parts... They are technology. This is a technology site. They have computer chips in them. This reviews computer systems and their parts. It is very plausible to review car radars. If not, what site do you recommend that reviews radars?
Many people who end of getting divorced is because they have lust for other people. Yes, I know there are many other reasons for getting divorced other than lust.
The thing is married couples are not loyal to each other which breaks up the marriage in the long run. There are people who get divorced after 25 years of marriage. What the heck is that? If you have lived with the person for 25 years, why get a divorce now?
Divorce is also encouraged in the US. If you go up to someone and tell them you are divorced, it wouldn't make a difference to them but if you go to places like India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh and tell someone that you are divorced, they won't come near you the next time. It ruins your reputation in society.
Didn't you guys know that your first marriage in the states is a 'pratice' one? :P
Lots of marriages work just that people in the states, England (the 2 countries that I know the stats are high) people get in to marriage too quickly, for the wrong reasons, or whatever reason break up after a while.
Many other countries have very strong family (not just husband/wife) values that they hold to. I spent two months in Bangladesh last summer and have a great respect for the people in that country...as well as India, which was only a few miles right across the river.
It is sad that marriage has been so forgotten in America that it seems an accomplishment to be married to one person for an entire lifetime...much more to actually be happy at the latter parts.
I also have great respect for former President Reagan and Nancy for their marriage, and for their beliefs.
It doesn't have to do anything with Anand's relationship in the US, but I was just commenting on the fact that this is not amazing to see a wife so attached to her husband. This kind of thing can be found in many places such as India.
#11 - This might be a new thing for you or others in America but in India, this type of thing is common. My parents are married for 20 years and they are very happy with each other. Heck, my grandparents were married for 45 years and they were very happy with each other.
Long term relationships are very easy to find in India.
#12 - We don't need this tech site to turn into a review site for car parts. It is completely irrelevant to the content of the site. There are other good car sites where you can find more info. on them.
Just looking at Nancy Reagan should have reminded a lot of people what marriage is suppose to be about. After 40 years of marriage and 10 years of watching her husband fade into the sunset, she still had to be peeled away from the casket! That's what true love is!
No seriously... With the new site coming, I wonder if Apple would lend you a dual 2.5 GHz G5 to review (or at least preview). That so-called liquid cooling system sounds very interesting.
It sounds like it may be quite a bit more than just a fancy heatpipe and actually be a real liquid-cooled system, but the info on it is scarce.

P.S. You are her fiancé and she is your fiancée. :)
Anand, I have been married 4 years to a girl who I know with all my heart was the "right one." When you have this "one" it is entirely possible to stay with him/her your whole life.
After 4 years of marriage I can tell you that life is not a bed of roses; if you base your relationship on feelings it won't last. But if it is on true love, love that is willing to go through the hard times as well as the good, that relationship will last "till death do you part."
In this day where divoce is as common as moving to a new house, it makes me glad to hear someone with such commitment to one another. Keep up the good work. Don't let anything, including AT come between you.
Great post, man! I think you ought to write a couple of romance novels. You know, the kind you find by the magazine section at the grocery stores? Anyway, that's great. I do look forward to those blurbs and it makes you a lot more "real" and "personal." Plus, it increases my respect for you. Btw, how did you and Vinney meet?
Maybe I'm really weird then... I'm an only child, and sometimes found myself wishing that I had (a) sibling(s), if only for the additional excitement - my life seems kind of dull at times. Of course, Anand's high school years couldn't have been dull, what with his website and all. :-)
BTW, my comments on what I'd like to see in camera reviews: DPReview handles the technical side well (their forums just absolutely suck, but the reviews are good), but they often forget small but important matters of usability, such as that certain of the new 8MP P&S digicams are horribly slow to write images (we're talking freezing the camera for like half a minute) when in RAW mode (and if you bought an 8MP camera for the quality, then why aren't you shooting RAW?). On the other hand, Michael Reichmann of the Luminous Landscape tends to skip the fine points of image quality, but fills in the gaps by covering just about every aspect of usability and "in the field" handling that other sites tend to ignore.
In the end, I would hope that your DC reviewer has enough photography experience that he will bring a bit of both worlds to the AnandTech camera reviews. Anyway, I'm looking forward to what's coming down the pipe in the near future! (well, except for the site redesign; each time it seems to get worse - what, are we going to have to run maximized at 1280x960 to avoid horizontal scrolling this time?)
Congrats on finding "the One!" My wish is for you both live to see your 60th wedding anniversary!
Can you talk more about the new digital camera section? What is in store? What your personal goals for that section? Have you established a relationship with digicam manufacturers such that Anandtech can be first in line for new products to review? I ask this because DPreview.com, arguably the benchmark for digicam review sites, publishes a review maybe once a month it seems. Although Phil's review are fantastically thorough, many complain on his forums that too many new cameras go unnoticed.
With respect to being an only child, I think that we accept and come to like the way that we are brought up. I think that if you had a sibling(s), that you would have felt the same way about being an only child.
I have a sister two years younger, and looking at some of my friends that are an only child, I wouldn't want to change places with them (heh I'm using her computer right now).
I think it is relative to what we have and are accustomed to.
There are a lot of girls with different tastes for games, different ages and different nationalities. Good game. I saw her on a date with a girl from a dating site

Yes, same here. I do have respect for President Reagan and Nancy and their values and the bond they shared with each other. It is sad to see how America has the highest divorce rates in the world.
